When it helps to know
- Before you sell. The square footage in your listing should be right. If it’s off, buyers and appraisers will notice.
- Selling on your own. You still need a number you can stand behind.
- After an addition or a finished bonus room. Find out what you actually added.
- When the county’s number looks wrong. Have a measurement in hand before you call.
- Before you buy. If the listing’s number matters to you, check it during due diligence.
What you get
- Your home measured to North Carolina Real Estate Commission standards
- A square footage drawing
- A floor plan drawing
Prices
Every measurement includes both drawings. Priced by the size of the home, garage included.
- $140 for homes up to 3,499 sq ft
- $185 for homes 3,500 to 4,999 sq ft
- $225 for homes 5,000 sq ft and up
Outside Pitt County, add a $25 out-of-market fee.
What it is, and what it isn’t
This is a measurement, not an appraisal. It tells you how big your home is, not what it’s worth. And having me measure your home doesn’t make me your agent or sign you up for anything. If you ever want to talk about selling, that’s a separate conversation.
